Make Up Options for Missed
Participation
As stated in
the syllabus, a student who misses class participation and gets a zero participation
credit may make up that credit by completing one of the make-up options posted
on the class web page. Here are those
options (all of these options relate to science and Louisville):
·
Bellarmine Statue — click here
·
Hubble in Louisville — click here
·
William H Perry — click here
·
Ekstrom Library Astronomy — click
here
·
Book Annotation — click here
Each option
may be used only once. A maximum of five
missed classes/weeks may be made up. This generally means five Part 1/Part 2
pairings, for a total of 10 zeroes for
participation. However, a student can
request the make-up be split (to cover two missed Part
1s, for example, or the Part 1 from one week and the Part 2 from another). A student can also apply the make-up to a
Part 3 zero, in those rare cases where that is needed.
