This assignment is for students who have missed a class and need to make up their class participation grades. Students who have not missed any classes may complete this assignment for extra credit. A student may do this assignment only once.

Electrical Supply

Electrical circuits is the subject of this class, and there are places in Louisville that sell electrical/electronic supplies for people who work with electricity as a profession. Visit one of these places. Take a photo of yourself outside the store. Then go in and look at what they have. Find some cool electric circuits thing that they sell, take a photo (or several) of yourself with the cool thing, research what the cool thing is and what it does, and then write a 400 word discussion on what the cool thing is, what it does, why you chose it, and what you learned while there.

What to turn in (hardcopies only):

· A copy of your completed Part 1 and Part 2 forms for the day of class participation that you are making up

· Your discussion (typed)

· Your 2+ pictures

Students who complete this project can replace a day of missed Participation Grades for both Part 1 & Part 2 grades.

Students who do this project for extra credit can replace the Part 1 & Part 2 grades of any day of their choosing with 100% A+ grades. They must tell me which day they want the extra credit applied toward. Note that this is not much extra credit.
