“A” PROJECT—FINAL EXAM (exam now available)
If you are
looking at this page, then you are thinking about trying to earn an “A” grade
in AST 101. Super!
In Astronomy
101, an “A” student learns everything a “B” student learns, but can also discuss
it, in depth and in writing. To earn an
“A” you must complete the requirements to earn a “B”, and
also take the final exam.
The exam will
be of an essay format. It will be posted at the mid-semester point (on or around March
9). It will be due during Final Exam
week. You may turn in the Final Exam only after
you have completed the requirements to earn a “B” grade.
The exam will
be an essay, approximately 2000 words, in which you will discuss what you
learned in AST 101. To receive credit for
completing the exam, the exam must be completed properly. If the exam is not properly completed, it will be returned to you for no credit. There is no “grade” on the exam—it simply must be completed properly, or no credit is awarded and you
receive a “B” grade.
Completed properly means:
·
Everything
asked for in the exam is completed.
·
Work
is organized and neat.
·
Written
work is typed.
·
The
word length minimum stated for the exam is met.
·
Written
work uses proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. as is suitable for
college-level work.
